Allan Taylor widmet sein neues Werk den "Beats" - der Generation von Poeten,

Schriftstellern und Songschreibern, die in den späten 50ern des letzten

Jahrhunderts auf ihren Reisen in Paris einen kulturellen Mittelpunkt fanden und

die Tür in die 60er aufstießen. "The Beat Hotel" beherbergte damals z.B. Allen

Ginsberg, William Burroughs, Gregory Corso, Brion Gysin, Peter Orlovsky, Ken

Tindall oder den Folk-Singer Alex Campbell und auch Jack Kerouac:
